what is PSYCHOMATRIX ?

PsychoMatrix is dedicated to serving individuals and organizations interested in deepening their self-understanding and improving their interpersonal effectiveness. Founded by Dr. Richard Wolman, a psychotherapist and faculty member of the Harvard Medical School, PsychoMatrix offers testing and workshops for schools, corporations, and organizations. This work is designed to help people learn more about themselves and increase effectiveness professionally and interpersonally.

As an independent psychological testing service, PsychoMatrix has gathered data on tens of thousands of individuals and engages in ongoing research in the area of personality and spirituality. We look for a correlation between personality type and work-choices, relationships, leisure activities and more.

Data generated by our testing programs is used for ongoing research and results are regularly published. Ongoing projects include an analysis of personality profiles of relationships, studies of compatibility among couples in long-term relationships, and research on the correlation of personality to medical illness.

PsychoMatrix has more recently engaged in a new program of studying spirituality. We believe that everyone is spiritual. The carefully researched PsychoMatrix Spirituality Inventory (PSI) provides information on the various forms and patterns that individual spirituality assumes.

Our name is expressive of the work we do. Using the power of empirically developed psychological testing techniques we explore the uncharted realms of the human PSYCHE. At the same time, we realize that each person involves a complexity and power beyond description. The second part of our name, MATRIX has at its root the Latin word mater, or mother. MATRIX refers to the womb in which each person is given form and life. In this sense we seek to understand the individual from the origins of mind and spirit.
